- PAY Rate are calculated in a tiered method where for example the first 10% is added to the next 15% and so forth.
- The pension relief is calculated at 30% of gross earning, actual pension amount or Ksh 20,000 whichever is lower.
- The pension amount that you input not include the statutory NSSF amount. This is calculated separately by the app and added to the pension amount automatically to get the relief.
- The new NSSF Rates are calculated by applying 6% of gross earnings with a minimum amount of Ksh 360 for tier 1(Gross earning of 6,000) and a maximum of Ksh720 for tier2(Gross earnings of 18000) to give a maximum total of Ksh1080.
